Pencils
Pencils... where do I even start. The idea of sketching out a full book of around 230 pages is incredibly daunting if you think about it too hard. So don't. Instead, break down your 230 pages into a manageable, day-by-day schedule/quota, and then distract yourself by thinking about how happy you will be once this process is finished! For me, project planning and time management have always been fun parts of the creative process. This probably sounds a little sad but it just happens to be how I am. Nothing makes me happier than knowing exactly what my schedule is...

Intro + Thumbnails
Intro This post is the first of "the Comic Process" series! Horray! My main goal with this series of posts is to share the things I'm learning along the way of making my first graphic novel "Atana and the Firebird", as well as my thoughts on the process. It is a public grant open to any Canadian, so I thought I'd share my experience with the application! Canada Council for the Arts Grant Before applying, you need to register for an account on the Canada Council for the Arts portal. The process takes a few weeks in...

Zine 101
I've been frequently asked about how to get started organizing zines, so at last, here is my FAQ on zines! Truthfully there's no real zine 101 because every zine is different! These tips are just from my personal experience from having organized a couple of zines, and serve purely as a reference point for first time zine organizers. I hope it can help! Getting Started You have a passion project that you want to make into a zine! Now what? The first step to any zine is realistically deciding what is the scope of the zine you want to organize...
